Four Fatal Flaws of Evolution

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
—Genesis 1:1

Last week we began looking at the politically incorrect truth that evolution is a myth. And we saw three basic tenets about evolution we need to understand before we combat it. We said first of all evolution is about a process, not about a timetable regarding the origin and diversity of life. Yes, evolutionists do have a definite view about how old the earth is and how old life is, but that is not the major point of evolution. Evolution says that all of life is the result of random mutations that occurred over a long period of time. Evolution is about a process, not about a timetable.

Second, evolution is about major variations between species, not minor variations within species. In a sense we’re all evolutionists, if by that you mean we believe that certain species have adapted over a period of time. Nobody argues the reality of microevolution—or minor changes within a single species—but that’s not what the evolutionist would have you believe. The evolutionist would say these minor variations between species add up over a long period of time to major variations between species. In other words, reptiles became birds, which became chimpanzees, and so on, ultimately producing human beings. And while there is all kinds of scientific evidence for microevolution, these minor variations between species, there is no evidence for macroevolution, or major changes between species.

Third and most importantly, evolution is a religious philosophy that claims the diversity of life is the result of random mutations, not the result of a divine designer. And this is what is the most important thing to understand about evolution—it is not just a scientific theory, it is a religious philosophy. Evolution is a religious philosophy that makes no allowance for the role of God in the origin or in the diversity of life.

That explains why evolutionists hang on so tenaciously to this theory, despite having no real evidence for it. The reason they have to hold on to the theory of evolution is because it is a religious philosophy that allows them to exclude God from the origin and the diversity of life.

Well, what is the mountain of evidence against evolution? This week we are going to look at what I call the “Four Fatal Flaws of Evolution.” We need to understand each of these four fatal flaws of evolution. These are truths we need to be able to explain to our children and to our grandchildren, because they are being bombarded in the public school classroom, and sometimes even in the Christian school classroom, about this issue of evolution.
