Evolution Is a Myth

Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.

Several years ago, a firestorm of controversy brewed in Texas’s state capital over a proposed new set of guidelines regarding the teaching of biology in the public classroom. For 20 years state regulations said that whenever the theory of evolution is presented, the weaknesses of the theory should also be presented. However, a group of professors known as the 21st Century Science Coalition called for a change in Texas state guidelines that would prohibit any mention of the weakness of evolution from being discussed in the public classroom. In fact, in the survey of science and biology students conducted by the Texas Freedom Network, about 95 percent of those biology professors surveyed said that schools should teach “just evolution” and were opposed to acknowledging any of the weaknesses of Darwin’s theory of evolution.

Interestingly, most of the professors and science teachers surveyed said that “any focus on the weaknesses of evolution theory and on alternative theories would harm students’ college readiness and their ability to compete for jobs.” Now, do you find that a little bit curious? Here are these people saying that even to allow a discussion of the weaknesses of a theory somehow will keep kids from getting into college and getting jobs. Isn’t the whole purpose of education to ask questions? Isn’t the underpinning of education the ability to probe and to weigh all theories? Why is it that the adherents of evolution are so adamant in saying that they are not even going to allow any of the weaknesses of their theory to be discussed?

I’ll tell you the reason—because the proponents of evolution know their theory will not stand up under the microscope of serious scrutiny. And that’s why we can say with great confidence, even though it’s politically incorrect to do so, we can say with great confidence evolution is a myth. And that’s what we are going to be talking about this week and next week.

You see, evolution is more than just a scientific theory about the origin and the diversity of life. As we’re going to discover, evolution is actually a religious philosophy. It is a religious philosophy that makes no allowance for God in either the origin of life or even the diversity of life. In spite of the mountain of evidence against it, the adherents of evolution are unwilling to allow any questioning of the position, because to do so would send people running toward the true cause of life and the diversity of life, and that is a divine Creator.
