In our passage today, the writer of Hebrews reminds us that God’s Word is not just to be read, admired, or even defended. We are to allow God’s word to pierce our hearts and transform our lives. God’s Word is like the surgeon’s scalpel that cuts away the sin-infected thoughts and motivations of our heart and brings healing to our lives.
Satan tempts us to destroy our faith but God tests us to strengthen our faith.
